Hello, I’m Michelle from Opting Out, based in bohemian and rather queer Brighton, UK. Subscribers can enjoy regular posts around slow living, rest, and opting out of burnout culture, plus my weekly Weekend Mood Board of what’s currently inspiring me. Paid subscribers get access to ALL my work, including the Slow Reading Group, live Co-Resting sessions, yoga nidra audios and pre-recorded full-length restorative yoga classes.
Its my dream to create a community of misfits, questioners and resters. Are you in? ✨
What I’m reading:
George Monbiot on Palestine Action.
What I’m enjoying:
Pondering a new joint tattoo project.
What I’m listening to:
What I’m Noticing:
How just twenty minutes of daily mobility, yoga, primal movements and agility exercises are paying off in terms of reducing my hip pain.
What I’m eating:
Crushed new potatoes with tahini sauce.
What I’m Looking Forward To:
An empty diary this weekend.
SoCal in August.
What’s Inspiring Me:
Watching a team of four ants try to move a dead bee across my garden patio. In three hours, they has moved it about 30cm. A good lesson in persistence, for sure.
Zahra Sultana MP looks to be setting up a new left-wing political party in the UK with Jeremy Corbyn and others who have been expelled from the Labour Party. Feeling hopeful.
